BSL Level Two
Our Signature-approved British Sign Language (BSL) Level 2 course builds on existing BSL knowledge and helps learners develop confidence and fluency when communicating with Deaf BSL users.
The course combines learning BSL linguistics with practical communication across three key topics: shopping and spending, holiday and travel and eating and drinking.

Duration: 10 months (September – July) Term time only
2-hour class every week
Delivery: Live online via Zoom
Qualification: Signature Approved BSL Level 2 Course
You will receive certification at the end of the course once all assessments have been successfully completed.
Course Units & Exams
Unit 201 – Receptive Skills Exam
Evaluate your ability to understand BSL through watching a signed story and answering questions.
Unit 202 – Productive Skills Exam
Assess your signing production by presenting a short story in BSL on one of the key topics.
Unit 203 – Conversation Skills Exam
Test your ability to hold conversations on one of the three key topics.
Fees
The BSL Level 2 course usually runs for 39 weeks and costs £625 in total (approximately £16.03 per 2-hour session). Payment is made in 10 monthly instalments of £62.50.*
Please note that exam fees for Units 201, 202, and 203 are separate.
